These rental conditions apply to the buggy day rental offered by Adventure Tours Mallorca S.L. They supplement our General Terms and Conditions. Where they differ from the General Terms and Conditions, these rental conditions take precedence for the buggy day rental. Before pick-up, every driver signs the rental contract on site.

1. Vehicle and rental period

• Vehicle: Renli RL1100 (1100 cc), two seats, manual transmission.
• Pick-up at 10:00 at our base in Son Oms, Carrer de Can Calafat 60, Palma.
• On request we pick you up at 09:30 by prior arrangement at our ticket shop, Carretera de l’Arenal 33, 07610 Playa de Palma (Balneario 7–8). Just send us a WhatsApp to +34 611 251 467 after booking.
• Return on the same day between 17:00 and 18:00 in Son Oms. The buggy is rented by the day only.

2. Price, kilometres and fuel

• €180 per buggy and day for up to two people.
• 50 kilometres are included, each additional kilometre costs €0.60.
• The odometer reading is noted together at pick-up and return. Extra kilometres are paid on return.
• Fuel is included; you do not need to refuel before returning the buggy.

3. Drivers and passengers

• Drivers must be at least 23 years old and have held a category B driving licence for at least 3 years.
• The original driving licence must be carried. The official government licence app is accepted.
• The buggies have a manual gearbox; drivers must be confident shifting gears.
• Only drivers named in the rental contract may drive. A second driver costs €20 and is paid on site.
• Passengers must be at least 12 years old or 135 cm tall.
• Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.

4. Deposit

A deposit of €500 must be left by card or in cash before pick-up. It is refunded in full after the buggy has been returned in proper condition. We may offset the deposit against damage, lost items, late return and fines.

5. Use of the buggy

• The buggy may only be driven on paved roads. Off-road driving and drifting are prohibited.
• Smoking in the buggy is prohibited.
• A 0.0 alcohol limit applies to drivers. Alcohol and drugs before and during the drive are prohibited.
• The driver must not hold or operate a mobile phone or camera while driving.
• If there is reasonable suspicion of alcohol or drug influence, or if these rules are breached, we may refuse to hand over the buggy or end the rental and withdraw the key. In that case there is no entitlement to a refund.
• Damage, accidents and breakdowns must be reported to us immediately: +34 611 251 467.

6. Insurance and liability

• Third-party liability insurance is included in the rental price. There is no comprehensive cover.
• The renter is liable for damage to the buggy up to a maximum of €1,500 per incident.
• This limit does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, when using a mobile phone while driving, or in the event of a breach of these rental conditions, for example off-road driving or driving by persons not named in the contract. In these cases the renter bears the full cost of the damage.
• A reduction of the excess is not offered for the day rental.
• Traffic offences and fines are borne by the driver. We pass the driver’s details on to the competent authority.
• For lost or damaged items, for example the vehicle key, we charge €50 per item.

7. Breakdown service

If a breakdown is not your fault, the breakdown service is free of charge. For breakdowns caused by the renter we charge €200.

8. Return, late return and recovery

Return takes place in Son Oms by 18:00. A grace period of 10 minutes applies; from 18:10 a flat compensation of €50.00 per started 30 minutes is charged, up to a maximum of €180.00 per rental day. The flat rate reflects staff costs outside opening hours and the loss of use of the vehicle; the renter may show that no or lower damage arose, in which case the lower amount applies. Nothing is owed where the delay is due to a vehicle defect or is attributable to the company. If the vehicle has not been returned by 21:00 and the renter cannot be reached, this counts as unauthorised continued use; the company may recover the vehicle and report the matter, and charges the recovery costs actually incurred, up to a maximum of €200.00.

9. Cancellation

Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of the rental, and the price is refunded in full. In the event of cancellation less than 24 hours before the start of the rental or a no-show, no refund is made.
